Ruling Party CPN-Maoist center leader Dinanath Sharma said the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is working on endorsing the constitution amendment bill before local level election.Speaking during an interaction organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Wednesday, he said, “Madhes grievances must be addressed before going to election. Government is working to find a point of understanding with the Madhes-centric parties and endorse the constitution amendment bill before election.”

Talking about the CPN-UML’s Mechi-Mahakali Campaign in Bhairawa, he said, “UML, with their speech, might have won the heart of people in Gulmi, Palpa and Arghakhanchi. But, UML should not have embarrassed Madhesi people.”
 

Charman of Nepal Sadbhawana Party Anil Jha has cleared that Madhesi Front would participate in election providing election-friendly environment to Front is created.Speaking during an interaction organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Wednesday he said, “Madhesi Front forwarded amendment on 103 issues in the constitution of Nepal.

But now we have reduced our demand to three points, and still government is dillydallying on endorsing the bill. We should be made clear whether the bill would be endorsed or not. Government should not confuse the Madhes-based parties and should create Madhes favorable environment so that we could participate in election.”

The dance showcase regularly fills the Collins Center to capacity twice in one day, and has done so most years in its 13-year history. Two performances are planned for 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono.

Bollywood-style dance, Chinese fan dances. Though none of the performers at the University of Maine’s annual International Dance Showcase are trained professionals, the mostly student-led group of dancers will perform all those dance styles and more at this year’s event.The International Dance Showcase features members of UMaine’s large, diverse international student and faculty community alongside members of other international communities around the state.

More than 100 local and statewide performers representing 12 different dance traditions from around the globe will participate in a nearly two hour long performance.
